Game Summary
Congratulations, you have just been selected to appear on the popular game show, Shoppin'! Hop into the Shopper 9000, a brand new, state-of-the-art motorized shopping cart and participate in a three-minute shopping spree. Beware, though, as the Shopper 9000 only has one setting and that is full speed ahead! Now, you may be wondering, what's the prize anyway? Well, that depends on your shopping efficiency, since you will win the amount of money corresponding to the items you collect from around the store. So, get ready to take your place behind the controls and prepare for the countdown. Can you handle the Shopper 9000 and pull in the largest haul?
Game Outline
Manning the Shopper 9000, the first player (the ‘Navigator’) will be responsible for steering the cart around the store, while the second player (the ‘Collector’) will be responsible for reaching out to knock items into the cart. As the Navigator, the main objectives are to avoid obstacles and position the cart so the Collector can properly reach items. The items will be located on shelves down each of the aisles and on displays throughout the store with “Blue Light Specials” occurring throughout the game to provide double the money for specific items for a given amount of time. In addition, when the cart gets too full, the Navigator will need to steer the cart back to checkout to empty it before heading back out to retrieve more items. When the timer runs out, you will be able to see just how many items you collected and the total worth of all those items.
